Review: Fantastic Notebook Mouse! Highly Recommended!

The "Logitech VX Nano" mouse is simply a fantastic mouse! I was given this mouse as a gift by a friend, which is good because it is unlikely that I would have spent this much on mouse for myself (at least before using this one). I am shocked at how good this mouse is and how well it works!

The very first thing you will notice is how small the USB receiver really is. We are talking tiny! This is great because you can insert it into the USB port and forget about it. This is important to me because we had bought my kids wireless mice (Microsoft) last year for my kid's laptops and the USB receivers were the size of USB memory sticks. These have both been physically broken because they stick out so far and now they are useless. This will not be a problem with the VX Nano since it has such a low profile.

The mouse itself feels very good in my large hands (contrary to some other reviewer's experiences) and the buttons all seem to be intuitively placed. I really like the Scroll Wheel, which works much better than the one on my less expensive mouse.

The included carry case is much better quality than I would have expected. This is a well made and sturdy case with plenty of room for the mouse and extra AAA batteries.

The USB receiver can be stored inside the mouse when transporting it between laptops (I use two, a work and a personal). This is a very nice feature and "shuts off" the mouse when it is stowed.

This mouse is simply great! Highly recommended! [↑]

Review: Best Mouse Bar None.

There are a few of things that make this mouse my favorite. 1) The IR dongle is very small, so small you can leave it plugged into your portable and it won't be damaged. 2) The ergonomics of the mouse are actually good, which IMHO is a first for Logitech. 3) It isn't huge with 100 difference and useless buttons all over it. 4) Two different modes to use the scroll wheel, bumpy and smooth.

Just one caveat, if you use a Mac, don't install Logitech drivers EVER. They suck, suck, suck, Will make your mac crash because logitech can't write software to save their lives. [↑]

Review: Sold On The Nano Receiver

I have a Sony Vaio with the USB ports poorly placed on the right side of the laptop. That makes a standard USB mouse dongle placed on the side inconvient since it encroches on the space where you use the mouse. I was using a USB adapter that allowed me to tuck the dongle more closely to the laptop but it became a target and thing to break for my 1 y/o son. With the Nano he isn't attracted to it and I can simply put the mouse away without having to also disconnect the dongle. I can also place my laptop in my bag without having to disconnect the dongle. Along with another reviewer, I think the VX is nicer than the V450 because of the extra buttons, but the forward / back buttons are awkard to press. [↑]

Review: Great Product

I love this product for a number of reasons. I purchased it because my wife and I really do not like using the touch pad to move the cursor on our laptop. So, we had a wireless mouse, with the hard wire receiver, which was trouble whenever we moved the laptop. Also, the nano mouse saved me from having to buy a USB hub to use a flash drive. I have three USB ports on the laptop, but two were block when I installed a wireless printer transmitter. The nano transmitter allowed me to use a flash drive where I had the wireless printer and move the wireless printer transmitter to the USB port where I used to have the "wireless" mouse receiver. Now - No wires, no hub, a mouse, and a place to put a external storeage device. However, I saw it cheaper at Costco about 3 weeks after I bought it. [↑]
