Review: A Fantastic Mouse

The Good:
-Very well balanced
-Quick enough even for gaming
-Absolutely no "detection" problems
-Fantastic "feel" especially for it's small size
-All buttons have great tactile response, and the wheel is one of the best I've EVER used.

(Note: the wheel is not "clicky" but rolls, just like a wheel on a skateboard or scooter, if you flick it quickly, it will continue rolling for a moment or two. This is great for quick scrolling of the internet, but I do not recommend it as a Counter Strike tactic)

The Bad:
-The right and left click are loud in a low noise environment. (read: Class) This is due to the great tactile response that was remarked on earlier, like any good mouse should have, but it is the only thing that keeps me from using this mouse during my every waking moment. The clicks are not loud enough to draw the attention of a teacher in lecture, but if I end up in a tense situation in Fallout, clicking frantically in the middle of class, students around me notice. Noise has decreased over a period of about a week, but it is still there.

The Skinny:
-I would recommend this mouse to anyone that is looking for the very best in portable computing, but would put out a warning for those doing some "note-taking" during class, or in meetings. This thing is designed for comfort, precision, and beauty, not as much stealth. [↑]

Review: Work Of Techno-art

I could not possibly better the reviews of the Nano that focus on its technical pros and cons. I am rather going to take an emotional tack and simply say that this is one of my most cherished possessions and I love it. It is a thing of beauty and it works wonderfully. I remembered the old days of wireless mice that didn't work well: the batteries went dead quickly and the connection of the mouse with the computer was at times spotty. How things have changed. This is fast, adjustable, accurate, but most of all, it is a joy to have and use, from its undercut rear end and its two-toned lighter on darker black to its teardrop, pin-holed sculpted sides and silver alloy scroll wheel with the rubberized center. It is really, really beautiful. If you are thinking about getting it, go ahead and click on the Add to Shopping Card. You won't be sorry. (One warning: if you have really big hands, you may be slightly disappointed and will want to use it for travelling rather than everyday use--my hands are not small and I use it every day, taking it to and from work. If it were a little bit bigger....but then it would not be so appealing to the traveler.)  [↑]

Review: Good, Easy Mouse. Good Mighty Mouse Replacement.

Okay, so i don't demand a lot from my mouse, but after getting used to apple's mighty mouse (which I really like with the exception of a few things) I haven't had much luck finding something that does what it does as easily or almost as easily in terms of the buttons and the scroll wheel. The VX nano has even more buttons and the interface works just right. Most importantly the wheel is smooth and the sideways scroll works better than on most mice I have tried. I find it more comfortable and compact than the mighty mice (I have bluetooth and corded versions). A good and cheaper replacement for the mighty mouse. Also the engineering put into the mouse is pretty nice. P.S. I use the nano reciever in my keyboard USB slot, not a main USB slot and it works great without eating up a powered USB.

Why 4 stars? Still not perfect. Maybe this mouse with a mac-like scroll wheel that doesn't break or get dirty as easily as the mighty mouse and that is Bluetooth compatible would deserve 5 stars. Who will do it first? Mac or Logitech? [↑]

Review: Best Mouse Ever

At the time I am writing this review I have used this mouse for about a month now. I absolutely love it. The extra programmable buttons come in quite handy. Once you get in the habit of using them you will wonder what you did without them. The size and shape is remarkably comfortable in my hand. For being a wireless mouse, it is quite light as well. I know some of the older wireless mice were quite heavy due to the batteries. Now that I'm on the subject of batteries...they seem to last a long time. This mouse takes 2 AAA batteries and after a month they still have an estimated 160 days left (a nice function of the software that comes with it, it will estimate the battery life remaining). For those concerned, I am running it on Vista with no issues. [↑]
