Adding to the L75's value is the plain paper faxing. With such features as automatic switching between fax and voice calls, a 30-sheet automatic document feeder, a 256-page memory for storing faxes, and a quick transmission speed of roughly three seconds per page, the L75 works as well or better than most single-function fax machines. Faxed photos look solid thanks to Canon's Ultra High Quality (UHQ) processing system, which enhances the image definition, while the unit's Error Correction Mode (ECM) reduces transmission errors when communicating with other ECM-equipped machines. Additional fax features include automatic dialing and broadcasting, automatic reduction when the transmitted fax is larger than the L75's paper, and special faxing features such as delayed sending, polling, and reception restriction.
Finally, the L75 functions as a telephone as well, with connections for the handset and one other external device (like an extension phone, answering machine, or data modem). And unlike many comparable units, the L75 can perform a number of operations simultaneously, letting you print or make copies while you're also sending or receiving a fax.
The L75, which measures 17.5 by 15.9 by 22.8 inches (W x H x D) with all the trays extended, comes with a number of paper and support trays. It's also backed by a 90-day warranty.
