About TicTap

Hi! Thanks for letting us share with you the story and people behind TicTap. You can also read our blog.

The idea for TicTap came about when we realised we could find cheaper prices online after paying for something at the shopping mall. We thought other people might have the same regrets too.

So, working with Amazon.com, we set out to create a free SMS shopping service.

Over time, we've increased the breadth of our offerings. Today, TicTap is accessible in numerous ways:

1. Web-based searches, which is this site you see.
2. Wireless access, for users of mobile devices.
3. For visually-impaired users, we have a layout that was created with screen readers in mind.

Our goal has always been to make online shopping a painless experience. As a result, we added features like clustered searches, price alerts, library and lyrics lookups, store locator, currency converter, special interest lists and many more.

Founders

Damon Anderson

Also known as The Boss, Damon lives in a haunted apartment in Minnesota with 7 other invisible occupants. During his free time, Damon helps his friends strip their wooden floors until 6 in the morning.

With such admirable traits, it's no wonder phrases such as anyone's best friend, simply the best and give the man another beer have been heaped on him!

Alex Choo

Alex assists Damon with strategy and implementation. He might also be the de facto fall guy, although Damon often denies this.

One little known fact about Alex is that he is a failed humorist. Marvel at his favorite joke, a directory called /cgi-bin/Laden.
